Heat Storage Tank

Project Description

As part of a project that included supplying a waste wood handling and burning system, Mainland Machinery designed, built and installed a 75-foot diameter, 1.5 million gallon heat storage tank. The tank draws cool water from the bottom where it is sent to the boiler, heated and then pumped back to the same tank and stored on top of the cold water. In the evening the warm water is distributed across 25 acres of greenhouses to maintain a suitable growing environment.
